Investors in People engaged Premier Connects to deliver a seamless, branded registration experience across five major UK cities during their June 2025 national roadshow. The requirement included full logistical planning, onsite setup, live support, and data-driven attendee check-in via self-serve kiosks. Our team was tasked with deploying technology, branding, and staff across Manchester, Birmingham, London, Edinburgh, and Belfast.

Pre-Event Preperation

Planning and preparation were essential to the success of a multi-city roadshow. Our team worked closely with the Investors in People team to ensure every component of the journey was configured, tested, and scheduled in advance.

Kiosk Technology & Badge Design
We supplied dual registration kiosks for each venue, pre-loaded with attendee data and custom branding. Each kiosk was paired with a full-colour double-sided badge printer to produce professional passes for each guest. Branded artwork was approved in advance to ensure consistency.

Asset & Logistics Planning
All hardware, accessories, and spares were packed for efficient deployment across the cities. We arranged for multiple 3.5T vans, drivers, ferry crossings, and carnet documentation for the Belfast leg. Pre-event test runs were completed at Premier HQ to verify every component.

Team & Accommodation Coordination
A Registration Manager was assigned to travel to each city with the equipment, supported by pre-booked accommodation, PDs, parking, and congestion charges. The setup schedule was tightly controlled, ensuring readiness before doors opened each day.

On-Site Execution

Our team delivered a consistent, high-quality setup and support experience in all five locations, ensuring a smooth process for both organisers and delegates.

Efficient Kiosk Deployment
Upon arrival at each venue, kiosks were assembled quickly and configured with venue-specific data. Ethernet and Powercon cabling was neatly installed for reliable operation, and lanyard stands were positioned to guide attendee flow.

Live Registration & Troubleshooting
Each event ran a two-day schedule per city, with our Registration Manager onsite to provide assistance, monitor badge printing, and support delegates unfamiliar with the self-serve system. Extra consumables, inks, and printers were on standby to ensure uninterrupted service.

Consistent Brand Experience
A large branded 4x3 help desk backdrop was installed at each venue to provide a visually striking registration point. This consistent front-of-house presence helped reinforce the Investors in People identity across all locations.

Post-Event Wrap-Up

After each city event, the team handled breakdown, repacking, and logistics handover to prepare for the next location. Final delivery occurred in Belfast before the project concluded.

Return & Maintenance
All kiosk equipment was returned to HQ, inspected for wear, and logged for future roadshows. Badge printing data was backed up and prepared for post-event reporting. Equipment performance across all venues remained consistent and issue-free.
